Motivation Monday # 15 - Sophie Foster

This week I'm really please to show Sophie Foster's sketchbooks. I first saw Sophie's work at the new designers exhibition in Islington in 2008 when she graduated from Falmouth uni. Due to the death of an illustrator I was going to be working with, Sophie stepped in and I was looking forward to working with her but then I left for Random House and I later found out that the project had fizzled out anyway. oh well... She's been working with Frances Lincoln on a book project since and I think she's going to be big in the world of young non-fiction. She's got a great style that encompases humour and charm and a non fiction element. An area of illustration that you don't often come by.

Great to see Sophie Fosters' sketchbook work, also the others on this site.
(Owen is also a graduate of Falmouth BA Illustration where I teach.)
Love the website Nikalas.
