Something for you, Something for Me - Abner Graboff

I absolutely LOVE this book for all my heart. I discovered Abner Graboff only 3 months ago and he's the rare kind of illustrator that just makes you feel like you day is all the more brighter for having seen his images. This book in particular is full and spontaneity and zest. The scribble textures of colour and the simple shapes that the characters are created from is simplicity pushed to perfection. With only a few weeks left of 2009 I can safetly say that Abner Graboff is my favourite find of the year.

you're not wrong, Graboff was a proper talent, if he'd been a musician he'd definitely have been a jazz player - laid back, improvised outside the rules and so forth. as for him being you're discovery of the yeat i'd agree, as long as you are already aware of Jim Flora. If not google him and I think you'll find its a photo decision between the two!
