The Opposite - Elena Odriozola

This is a beautiful picture book illustrated by Elena Odriozola and published by Andersen Press in 2007. I haven't come across Odriozola's illustration before and I'm struck by her simple and charming drawings. Her work has that classic fairy tale look about it with a modern unique twist.

I love it! The character designs are terrific, especially the Opposite. They're simply rendered, but the patterns and textures really activate the illustrations.

I've really enjoyed reading this book through your images - what a creative idea, and beautiful illustrations to boot. I'll definitely be looking for this at the library.

Me encanta Elena Odriozola! Es sin duda una de mis favoritas (te recomiendo encarecidamente "La princesa que bostezaba a todas horas" tambien ilustrado por ella)
